Prof. Manoj Pant has been teaching Trade Theory in the Centre for International Trade and Development, School of International Studies, JNU for the last 20 years or so. He has about 35 publications in international referred journals and two books. He has been speaking on WTO issues for the last four years in seminars of the UNCTAD, OXFAM and other non-governmental organizations on issues of investment and competition policy. He was expert member of the Ministry of Commerce group on Environmental issues in the WTO, of the consultative group on trade issues of the Planning Commission and is currently also a member of the technical committee of the Ministry of Human Resource Development for WTO and trade in Educational Services and Chairman of the Project review Committee, Department of Scientific and Industrial research, Govt. of India, 2005-2007. He also writes a monthly column for the “Economic Times” publication.
